Universal coupling
Use: Universal coupling - a type of mechanical fitting that allows you to connect the pipe socket and bushing of different materials (steel, cast iron and asbestos-cement) with different diameters. They are used in straight sections in sewer and water systems.
Description: The coupling consists of a body, collars, caps and hardware (Fig. 1).
In the first standard version of the body is a metal double branch pipe, which is coated with protective epoxy powder with a layer thickness of 250 microns. The coating color is RAL5005.
In the second standard version the body is made of stainless steel AISI 304.
The collar is a ring molded from EPDM rubber (GOST ISO 4097-2013). The sleeve kit includes two sleeves.
Cap is a metal ring with holes for studs. Coated with protective epoxy powder with layer thickness not less than 250 microns. Coating color RAL5005. The set of couplings includes two caps.
Metal hardware is studs, nuts and washers, which are coated with a zinc protective coating. Material is galvanized steel. Threaded studs knurled. Each stud is completed with two washers and two nuts. Strength class of hardware is not lower than 6.8. The size and number of studs are given in the specification below.
Working pipe pressure: 1,6 МPа.
Working temperature: 0°С - +110 °С.
Maximal angular deviation: to 4°.
